Meet Andy

Andrew Beshuk

Owner & Financial Advisor

Andy’s interest in financial advising began with a desire to develop a practical trade. But over his 3 decade long career, he has become passionate about building relationships, identifying and protecting what people value most. He enjoys partnering with clients to ensure that the construction and execution of their financial assets matches their family goals. His business aims to take care of the complexity of financial planning so clients can live with peace and confidence in their long-term success.

At The Ohio State University, Andy played trumpet in the marching band, met his wife Andrea, and received a BSBA in Finance. From there he worked 15 years for Nationwide Insurance, spending time as the Director of the State of Missouri Deferred Compensation Plan. In this role he oversaw a staff of 20 people, and the plan that represented 25,000 state employees and over $1 billion in assets. His managing success and experience at Nationwide gave him confidence to open his own practice.

In 2009, Andy founded Providence Financial. After over 10 years, Andy says, “I truly enjoy sitting across the table from the quality people who share their lives with us. The longer we have someone as a client, the less we seem to talk about money and the more we talk about life and planning in general.” He has built a team that shares this passion for connecting with people, and providing streamlined financial services.

Andy and his wife Andrea are recent empty nesters to their four children, and new grandparents. He is happiest spending time outdoors with those closest to him. Most notably, having scaled the heights of Yosemite’s Half Dome with his youngest daughter, and trekked across Death Valley with his brothers. He also finds much enjoyment from early morning bike rides on the Katy Trail, with good friends, his wife, and kids.

Austin Beshuk

Business Manager

Austin joined the team in 2020 to help manage the growth and service standards of Providence. He brings extensive experience in Business Management, with a degree in the field from Evangel University. He also spent a number of years working for a local sign manufacturer, where he participated in and oversaw nearly every aspect of the business. This knowledge of large-scale operations informs his current work and ability to fill various roles. At Providence Financial, he enjoys working alongside a passionate staff, with the mutual goal of providing high-quality, long-term service for clients.

Austin also minored in international business and history during his time at Evangel. Learning about 19th and 20th century European history was, and continues to be, an area of particular interest to him. Also an accomplished grillmaster; he’s yet to meet a cut of meat he can’t grill, smoke, or roast to perfection.

Jonathan Turner

Financial Advisor

Jon has been with Providence Financial since 2019, starting as an Advisor Assistant. With a continued interest in and drive for the industry, he pursued credentials to soon become a licensed Financial Advisor. He partners with Andy to meet with clients and help them craft a financial plan tailored to their situation. Jon is particularly passionate about getting to know each client and empowering them to plan retirement with comfort and confidence. Graduating Cum Laude from Columbia College, he furthered his education after college by attaining his Missouri State Insurance Licence, and passing the following exams: SIE, Series 65, Series 63, and Series 7.

Columbia College is not only where Jon graduated with honors, but also where he met his now wife, Marina. They were both active members of their school’s community, and now bring the same energy to their central Missouri home. They enjoy spending time together outdoors: hunting, or boating on Mark Twain Lake with family, friends, and their dog Kase.

MaryAnn Semkin

Director of Operations

The first hire of Providence Financial, MaryAnn has been with the business since its inception in 2009. She is currently the Director of Client Services, where she oversees the daily functioning of the office, focusing on team support and retirement plans.

Before joining the team, MaryAnn received her BA in Psychology from Rockhurst University. As a Licensed Customer Service Representative, she worked on the State of Missouri Deferred Compensation Plan for Nationwide Retirement Solutions. There she also met Andy, and their professional relationship has continued to this day. As the business has evolved over the years, she has helped fill many roles. Not only does she exhibit an impressive knowledge of the technical details involved in retirement strategies and office management, but she brings a deep, genuine level of care to each client relationship.

MaryAnn and her husband Todd are the proud parents to Jackson. They are beginning a new chapter as empty nesters, as their son joins the United States Air Force. They are also active members of their local church community, Concord Baptist.
